Part of Emma’s on-going Secret Garden series ~ initially inspired by the Secret Garden at Blenheim Palace. This was planted by the then Duke of Marlborough in the 1950s, when the palace first opened to the public ~ to serve as a place to escape and find peace from the masses. A garden for all seasons, including many acer trees (maples) ~ in Japan, the acer symbolises inspiration, and often found in areas of meditation.
