About Roz’s work

Roz paints bold contemporary paintings. Her passion is colour, and evoking the spirit of her subjects through the medium of paint. She uses acrylics mostly, as she loves their vibrancy. After an early morning summer dog walk on Blackheath Common, she was inspired to paint the stunning pine trees, giving emphasis to the negative space which makes the tress and foliage “pop” off the canvas in a riot of colour. She starts her paintings from reference photos taken on walks, and then lets her imagination flow resulting in a unique contemporary take on a traditional landscape.

Styling ideas

Roz’s striking use of colour mean her paintings are true statement pieces. As her subject is the landscape around her, they can sit equally well in both contemporary and traditional settings.

About the artist

Roz lives and works in the Surrey Hills, and has been a professional artist for over 25 years following an art degree and then a long career in the fashion industry. Roz has exhibited all over the UK and has many collectors worldwide.
